Automata have fascinated humans for centuries, but none so much as a plucky little robot from Irland called Toto. Last time out he found himself a long way from Kansas, face down on the canvas, after just 15 seconds. Cries of “blood and iron” saw knockout artist Otto “von Bismarck” Viherä chalk up a victory for mankind in what was a decisive blow to our would-be AI overlords. Many imagined such a hammer blow would see the bionic bipod go the way of the betamax. But no, back in the ring and rebooted, Chessboxing Nation is proud to present Toto the Robot headlining Season’s Beatings 21 – VIVA LA MACHINA!

Killer Queen
She’s extraordinarily nice. Killer Queen Marie Obegi from Lebanon will be facing off against Lithuanian Giedrė Suchovaitė – the first female bout in chessboxing since the LCB Crazy Horse event in 2014. Obegi has a penchant for punching and claims to enjoy being clocked in the smacker during sparing. The deadly Duchess is enjoying training for the fight which has given her a break from her exhausting royal duties which include; owning a yacht, walking sideways on a horse and allowing people to eat cake. When asked to comment on the fight, Suchovaitė simply said, “The revolution will be bloody and necessary.” – just going to show that the female of the species is more deadly than the male.
