Once upon a time, Chessboxing promised to find “…the smartest, toughest man on the planet”. The word “man” has since been quietly dropped. Enter Dina Thorslund. The 32-year-old Dane is unbeaten in 25 professional fights and in August became undisputed bantamweight world champion, holding the WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF belts at once. With no women left to beat, she is coming for the men in this WCBA chessboxing bout.

Standing in her way is middle-aged middleweight Falktoft, 41, co-host of hit Danish podcast Her Går Det Godt. His professional record is 0-0; hers is 25-0. His best hope is checkmate. History is no comfort: in 1999 Margaret McGregor beat Loi Chow in the first sanctioned man vs woman pro boxing match (https://www.historylink.org/File/1730). The bout is expected to feature in a production by Nordisk Film TV (nordiskfilmtv.com) on Danish TV in early 2027.
